Got back from Lake Lure, NC last week and had a great time with the family. It’s just outside of Asheville, so you can imagine the beautiful mountain scenery. It’s a special place for our family. This hotel (Esmeralda Inn) is where my Grandfather was born and per Native America tradition, he was named after the first thing his mother saw after he was born. There is also a river right by and she heard rushing water when he was born. So his full name was Esmeralda Rushing Water Wade.
We also had a great time celebrating Independence Day with some fireworks and boating!
